あんまりYouTubeで面白い動画を探すようなことはしない。

でも、たまに音楽のビデオとかが観たくてYouTubeにアクセスすることがある。

そういう時によく目にするのがプロの曲を「cover」と言って、自宅などで演奏したのを録画してアップしている動画。

今となっては「自意識過剰もはなはだしいな」と思いつつも、昔子供の頃にバンドをはじめたときの感覚ってのは残っているので、ハナから無視するわけでもなく、「楽しそうにやってんなー」と微笑ましく思ったりする。

どうせなら、いろいろピックアップしてみようかなってことで、「Covers on YouTube」と題して、テキトーにピックアップしていこうと思う。

今日は、Jaco Pastoriusの”Portrait of Tracy”。

うん名曲ですよ。

一番上に貼ったのとか、ガキの「どや？」の雰囲気がよく出ていて、「そうそう、ミュージシャンきどりの時ってこういう顔になるぜ」ってのを思い出した。

この辺は、そこそこ上手いけど、ベースギターはフレットレスでお願いします！って感じ。

これは14歳の女の子。うまいねー。ベースの形がナゾだけど。

こちらはキーボードでシミュレーション。

この娘は、歌ってますよ。

アコースティックベースのフレットレス。いい具合。

これが一番好き。みんな、外に出ろよ！ってことですわなw

 

というわけで、聞き比べるといろいろ面白い。

ただわかった事は、「自分の好きな曲でないとずーっと聞いてられないし、聞き比べなんてもってのほか」ということ。

ちなみに今回の”Portrait of Tracy”は、これまた名盤”Jaco Pastorius”に入ってるよ。
オススメは、もちろんこれを聞く事！
